Arsenal are believed to be on the move to sign three players this summer after the recent signing of Swiss and Borussia Mochengladbach’s defensive midfielder Granit
Xhaka.
This is coming after Arsene Wenger disclosed that he will bring in as much as three players this summer. The manager was quoted to have said this; ” We’ve already bought one player- Xhaka- from Monchengladbach. So we’ve bought one midfielder and we’re still on the market to buy one or two more players, but It is not easy,” he concluded.

What this means is that unlike before , Wenger has accepted that he needs to sign as much players as possible in order to aid his title aspirations next season. The positions that Wenger might be looking to reinforce are centre-forward, centre-back and then attacking midfield with the likes of Henrikh Mkhitaryan of Borussia Dortmund, Julian Draxler of Wolfsburg who seems uncomfortable with life in Germany, Ray Holding of Bolton Wanderers and Robert Lewandowski of Bayern Munich. Also to be expected is Ricardo Rodriguez of Wolfsburg who has handed in a transfer request and is most likely to compete with first choice left-back Nacho Monreal as Kieran Gibbs is unlikely to last more than this summer after he failed to step up his game.
Wenger has been known as a manager who does more of the talking and less action but this hasn’t been the case this season after he quickly identified his targets for the summer and appears to be making concrete efforts to sign them.
One thing that Arsenal fans can testify to is that once those quality players are signed by the French man this season, then the sky is surely the limit for the Gunners.
