"Yes, it was obvious he had cooled on the relationship and he definitely didn't want to look towards settling down like Taylor did.
"But she ended up calling up Calvin and ending things abruptly. His friends suspect this was because she wanted to immediately move on with Tom."
Meanwhile, the star has spoken out for the first time since the pictures emerged on The Sun's website last night, insisting he's all GOOD, despite unfollowing his ex on Twitter and blocking her fans.

The superstar DJ , who reportedly didn't know a thing about the romance until hours before the pictures dropped, was filmed by TMZ heading to a gym in Los Angeles and paps quizzed him on the news.
In a video published on the US gossip website, one pap can be heard shouting: "Calvin, any comment on Taylor and Tom?" while another asked: "Did she betray you?"
He simply responded: "It's all good, she's doing her thing, she's doing her thing, dude."
