LAST DITCH OFFER: Leicester will hand Jamie Vardy more money to stay
The England international is set for a medical with the Gunners after they activated his £22m release clause.
Leicester are desperate to hold on to their star striker and the Sunday Telegraph claim they will offer him more money in the coming hours to try and persuade him to stay at the King Power Stadium.
However, Arsenal remain confident of completing a deal before England begin their Euro 2016 campaign on Saturday, although they may not fulfil their hopes of getting it done before Roy Hodgson’s side depart for France tomorrow.

Vardy is said to have agreed personal terms with Arsenal on a four-year deal worth about £120,000-a-week.
Leicester handed the 29-year-old a new contract in February worth £60,000-a-week and included the release clause which could be activated by clubs in the Champions League.
The striker was instrumental to Leicester’s surprise title triumph, netting 24 goals as the Foxes were crowned Premier League champions after starting the season as 5,000-1 outsiders.
Vardy joined Leicester for £1m from Fleetwood Town in 2012 and this could be his last chance to join one of Europe’s established elite clubs.Olivier Giroud believes he and Vardy could work together well at the Emirates Stadium.
“I have been told that Jamie wants to join us and it's very good news for us - I think we can be complementary,” said Giroud.
"He's a fantastic player, so it's good news for us.
