The ex-Man City defender said he would not be able to concentrate 100 percent on football if he was worrying about his wife and twin children, aged five, if they were in the grounds watching him.
"Each person must decide for himself how to deal with it. I have already done so," he told Sport Bild in Germany.
"My family and children will not be coming to the stadium. The risk is simply too big.

"I would like to concentrate fully on football during the Euro, and I would feel much better if my family is not sitting in the stadium."
Boateng was on the field with the national squad last November in Paris when the massacres which claimed 130 lives were carried out with suicide bombers attempting to get into the stadium where he was playing.
