Arsenal are now interested in Manchester United defender Daley Blind, according to reports.
Since the announcement of Jose Mourinho as new Manchester United boss, the defender’s future at Old Trafford has been thrown into doubt and it appears the Gunners are now looking at the possibility of snapping up the Dutch international, according to the Sunday People via Goal.
Wenger is believed to be keen on strengthening his backline and the club is now looking towards blind.
Blind is a versatile defender who can play as a centre back and as a left back, two positions Wenger is looking to strengthen.
It is believed the Gunners’ boss is looking to sign a new partner for Laurent Koscielny and is also looking for a left back due to the potential departure of Kieran Gibbs who is said to be interested in a move away from the Emirates in search of regular football.
It is unknown if Wenger sees Blind as a Centre back or a left back but we over here believe despite the fact that Blind would improve the squad, he is hardly the kind of centre back needed to partner Koscielny.
Blind can also feature as a defensive midfielder and his versatility could be helpful to the squad in time of injuries.
