Breaking: Man arrested in France on suspicion of planning attack on English and American tourists

A man has been arrested in France on suspicion of planning an attack on American, English and Russian tourists.
The 22-year-old was taken into custody in Carcassonne, according to AFP, on Monday.
He was arrested in Carcassonne station is in custody in Toulouse for "conspiracy to prepare a terrorist act."
The suspect, who lives in Lisle-sur-Tarn, and is originally from Lunel in the Hérault region, was arrested in possession of a knife and a machete, according to La Depeche.
He reportedly admitted to wanting to attack American, English and Russian tourists before an assault on the police and military.
Carcassonne, in southern France’s Languedoc region, is a beautifully-preserved medieval citadel famous for its 53 watchtowers and draws visitors from all over the world.
This man converted to Islam in 2014 and would quickly radicalised on the Internet and via discussion forums, it was reported.

Police custody in France can last up to 96 hours.
Lunel has benn dubbed the Herault's Molenbeek' in reference to the Belgian area that has produced a large number of jihadis.
At least eight men from the town aged 18 to 30 years have died since October 2014 in Syria or Iraq.
In total 20 people from the town of 26,000 people have joined the jihadist ranks.
Others were prevented from leaving by 2015 through hauls anti-terrorist services.
