So While Arsenal Fans were waiting for Vardy to make a statement over his Arsenal move but Wenger -being a smart man he is – has gone ahead to reveal that the striker will not joining the club after all.
Vardy has just spurned his chance of joining a top club and it remains to be seen whether the Foxes can repeat the performance which earned them the English Premier league title.
However, it seems that Wenger has tured to the familiar French Market, as he is drooling at the quality of young players currently in the French setup.
‘At the moment most of the young talented players are from France,’ said Wenger.
‘We speak about [Anthony] Martial, [Kingsley] Coman, who are still 20.
‘I saw a very interesting talent the other day to come on for Turkey – Mor. He has just signed for Dortmund. I was very impressed by his talent. There are other players like Sane from Germany, who has not played yet.’
It was reported that Wenger was furious to see Martial join Manchester United, given he had made an enquiry for the player but was turned down. We are linked with a surprise move for Fulham striker who is one of the key players in the France U-20 team.
The 19-year-old scored 15 league goals and laid on six assists for the Cottagers last term. There is no suggestion that the manager wants to recruit Dembele in his ranks for next season but the craving for budding France players could yet see him sign the Fulham man.
