15-year-old Girl raped and murdered

Kayleigh's mum revealed how her daughter's best friend Holly Arnott received a whispered voicemail from Kayleigh just hours before she died, saying 'call me'

A terrified girl was heard screaming "mummy" just hours before Kayleigh Haywood was raped and murdered, a court heard.
The 15-year-old was killed by landscape gardener Stephen Beadman, 29, after being groomed by his next-door neighbour Luke Harlow, 27.
Prosecutors say the two men kept Kayleigh prisoner in Harlow's flat for up to six hours before her death.
Samuel Green, who lives nearby, told a court he heard a girl screaming shortly after going to bed around midnight.
He said: "All of a sudden I heard a loud scream. It was a long scream. Someone shouting 'Mummy'.
"I thought it was me dreaming. Then I felt my partner grab my arm and say: 'Did you hear that?'

"It sounded like a female to me, and if I'm honest, whoever it was sounded frightened."
Samuel's partner Amy Dearden added: "I asked Sam if he had heard it because it quite worried me. It sounded like a young child."

Harlow, who contacted the schoolgirl on Facebook, has pleaded guilty to grooming and sex offences.
But both men deny falsely imprisoning the teenager during the six hours leading up to her death.
Yesterday the court heard a statement given to police by Kayleigh's mum Stephanie Haywood while her daughter was still missing.
She revealed how her daughter's best friend Holly Arnott received a whispered voicemail from Kayleigh just hours before she died, saying 'call me'.

But the teenager, who had been eating dinner when the message came through, forgot to ring back.
Stephanie told officers her daughter's disappearance was "completely out of character", saying: "I am very worried for her safety."
She also described how she accessed her daughter's Facebook to discover messages from Harlow.
Stephanie said: "I have no idea who this person is and Kayleigh has never mentioned him.
"There were pictures of bottles of rum and vodka and a message saying, 'we will have good time at the weekend'.
"I was able to see they had been in contact since at least October 4."
Jurors were also shown a tape of a video interview Harlow gave to detectives before Kayleigh was found dead.

He claimed he believed the teenager was 19 when he met her on Facebook, saying: "I can't remember if I added her or she added me. I've got over 2,000 friends.
"I quite liked her and she liked me, we got on well and that is when we made a mutual thing to meet up."
He claims they watched films and drank together at his flat before he fell asleep and woke to find Beadman and Kayleigh gone.
The teenager was reported missing by her mum after her phone was found in the street.
The jury also heard about Kayleigh's post-mortem examination, which revealed she had extensive blunt force trauma injuries to her head and face, including 16 lacerations.
She also had a broken left hand, which indicated she had tried to defend herself from blows.
The trial at Nottingham Crown Court continues.
