Arsenal join Dembele chase

Arsenal have joined the race to sign Moussa Dembele, 19, from Fulham, according toESPN.
The teenage forward is expected to leave the Championship club when his contract expires at the end of this month.
Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is in the market for an attacker, with Danny Welbeck set to be sidelined until the new year with a knee injury.
Chelsea, Liverpool, Juventus, Galatasaray and Fenerbahce are also reportedly interested in Dembele, who almost joined Spurs in January only for the transfer to fall through at the 11th hour.

Leicester confident Vardy will stay

Leicester remain hopeful of keeping striker Jamie Vardy away from potential suitors, according to vice-chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha.
Vardy scored 24 Premier League goals last season for the surprise champions, one behind golden boot winner Harry Kane to earn a place with England at Euro 2016, where he grabbed a vital equaliser as a substitute in Thursday’s 2-1 win over Wales.
That has seen him linked with Arsenal, who have reportedly made a £20million bid for the 29-year-old, though his future plans remain on hold while he focuses on the tournament.
But Srivaddhanaprabha told the Daily Mail: “You will see the news very soon, but I think he will stay.
“I think so, let’s see. We need to build the team. We keep continuing to believe that we can do something special in the Premier League and the Champions League.”

Morata hints he'd be keen to stay at Juve

Arsenal target Alvaro Morata has hinted that he would be keen to stay at Juventus.
Real Madrid are expected to exercise the buy-back clause they have before selling him on for a profit.
Morata, though, says he feels “really good” in Italy.
“I get many messages every day from Bianconeri fans and I’m really touched by this affection,” he said.
“Should I’ll stay in Turin? It’s not up to me, but, clearly, should they want to ask me, I’d tell the truth. I feel really good at Juve.”

Atleti want Higuain

Will Gonzalo Higuain become the latest South American striker to join Atletico Madrid.
The club has seen the likes of Sergio Aguero, Diego Forlan, Radamel Falcao and Diego Costa grace their side in recent years, and now the Napoli forward could join that list.
Italian paper Corriere dello Sport say Atletico have offered €60million (£47million) for his services.

Jones DOES have future at United

Phil Jones has been assured he has a future at Manchester United under new boss Jose Mourinho.
Jones was beset by injuries last season, making just 13 appearances for United and missing out on England’s Euro 2016 squad.
With Mourinho having already signed central defender Eric Bailly from Villarreal,Jones looked to be facing an uncertain future at United.
But it is understood Mourinho has faith in Jones, despite his injury woes, and believes the 24-year-old can be like John Terry was for him at Chelsea.
Jones made just seven starts last season after an ankle injury ruled him out for three months. His last United appearance came on January 2.

ICYMI: Balotelli snubbed by Besiktas

Kop flop Mario Balotelli has suffered another snub after Besiktas claimed they don’t want him.
Balotelli’s agent Mino Raiola claimed Besiktas wanted to end Balotelli’s misery on Merseyside by signing him from Liverpool.
However Besiktas sporting director Erdal Torunogullari has rejected Raiola’s claims, saying they are not interested in signing the controversial Italian striker.
Torunogullari claims Besiktas’ priority is hanging on to star striker Mario Gomez, who scored 26 league goals last season.
“We know Raiola well,” he said. “He’s even said Balotelli will go to Besiktas, but it’s not like that.
“We’re not interested, our priority is to hold on to Mario Gomez.”

Leicester keen on Burnley's Keane

Premier League champions Leicester are plotting a £10millon swoop for Burnley defender Michael Keane.
Foxes boss Claudio Ranieri sees former Manchester United starlet Keane as the man to put pressure on Wes Morgan and Robert Huth, his first-choice central defensive pairing.
Keane, 23, joined Burnley from United in 2015 and played a key role in them winning the Championship last season and securing promotion back to the Premier League.
Leicester are expected to table a formal bid for Keane, who has two years left on his contract with Burnley, in the coming days.
Ranieri is said to want to keep a British spine to his title-winning side, which, as well as Morgan, also features England duo Danny Drinkwater and Jamie Vardy.
Burnley want to keep hold of Keane but accept it will be hard to do so if Leicester are willing to pay up to £10m for a player that cost them just £1.5m from United.

Crystal Palace join Berahino race

Crystal Palace have entered the battle for £15million Saido Berahino .
The Eagles will hold talks this weekend with the West Brom striker’s representatives.
Stoke City have already made the first move for the 22-year-old, but Palace boss Alan Pardew is equally keen to sign him.
Watford and Everton also retain an interest in the marksman, who scored seven times last season, but the Potters and Eagles lead the chase.
The Baggies’ frontman has just a year left on his contract and rejected a new deal worth over £50,000-a-week during the 2015-16 season.

Tottenham beat Leicester to Southampton's Wanyama

Tottenham have beaten off interest from Leicester and struck a deal to sign Victor Wanyama from Southampton.
A fee, believed to be around £11million, has been agreed between the clubs and the Kenyan midfielder is expected to have a medical in the coming days.
Wanyama, who turns 25 next week, is the first player Mauricio Pochettino has successfully lured from his former club Southampton, after failing in previous attempts for Morgan Schneiderlin and Adam Lallana.
Saints had offered the player a new contract but after he snubbed the deal, the managerless south-coast club admitted defeat and have opted to cash in.

Liverpool gossip round-up

Chelsea want to sign Christian Benteke from Liverpool, according to reports.
The Belgian endured a disappointing debut season on Merseyside and the Times say incoming Chelsea boss Antonio Conte has identified Benteke as a potential strike partner for Diego Costa.
Benteke fell down the striking pecking order at Anfield last season, with Jurgen Klopp favouring both Daniel Sturridge and Divock Origi ahead of the former Aston Villa man.
Benteke, who cost £32.5million last summer, would be better suited to Conte’s style than he is to Klopp’s.

Neymar set for Barcelona stay

Neymar is set to reject interest from Real Madrid, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain to finally sign a new Barcelona deal in the coming weeks.
The Brazil skipper is three years into the six-year contract he signed with the Nou Camp club in 2013, triggering a renegotiation clause.
Barca had hoped to tie him up to an improved deal with a markedly higher release clause in the winter but found themselves shackled by self-imposed financial restrictions after paying out a glut of performance-related bonuses in the wake of last year’s treble.
It has meant that the 24-year-old’s release clause from 2013, an achievable €190million, has attracted interest from three of the world’s richest clubs.
Neymar’s camp has encouraged that interest to strengthen their negotiating position, and yesterday the Barca star’s representative Wagner Ribeiro said:
“Today there are three big clubs in the world who want to hire Neymar and pay the clause of around €200million to Barcelona.”
“I cannot say anything else, because it is a sensitive subject.”

Manchester United gossip round-up

Jose Mourinho will not give Ryan Giggs a role in his backroom team, according to reports.
The Welshman, who has been assistant to David Moyes and Louis van Gaal over the past three seasons, now appears likely to leave United, where he has spent the last 28 years of his career.
The Times claim Mourinho’s reason for snubbing Giggs is that he sees the Welshman as a direct rival for his job.
It is also reported that Mourinho has concerns about the 42-year-old’s loyalty, after he “distanced himself” from Moyes and Van Gaal when their Old Trafford tenures became tricky.

Saturday's transfer gossip round-up

Spain produced the most dominant display of Euro 2016 so far to sweep aside a lacklustre Turkey side 3-0 to top Group D and qualify for the knock-out phase.
Alvaro Morata grabbed a brace for La Furia Roja and Nolito scored the other while Andres Iniesta put on a passing masterclass in Nice.
Croatia chucked away a two-goal lead amidst alarming scenes as their supporters threw flares on to the pitch, forcing Mark Clattenburg to temporarily suspend the game.
With Luka Modric substituted as a precaution, the Czechs rallied back and a stoppage-time penalty from Tomas Necid earned an unlikely point.
Italy stayed perfect at Euro 2016 with a late winner over Sweden from Inter striker Eder with Antonio Conte’s side still to concede a shot on target.
HERE’s the latest gossip from Saturday’s papers...
