Arsenal target Riyad Mahrez has refused to rule out a possible move to the Emirates this summer.
The Algeria international has been heavily linked with a move to Arsenal and when quizzed about his future recently, he did nothing to put the rumors to bed, claiming he is keeping his options open.
Wenger is said to be very keen on signing the player who he reportedly missed out on before his move to Leicester City and has earmarked the right winger as one of his top targets this summer.
Now Mahrez has now revealed that although nothing is certain, it is flattering to hear him being linked with a move to the Emirates.
“It is flattering to hear, as I said nothing is agreed, nothing is done.”
“We will see… For the moment I have not made a decision. We will see.
“It is possible that I stay, it is possible that I leave. We will see.”
Mahrez was one of the best performers in the league last season scoring 17 goals and providing 11 assists as he helped the Foxes clinch the Premier League title while being crowned as the PFA player of the year in the process.
Barcelona have also been linked with the Foxes playmaker but it is Wenger who is believed to be in the driving seat in the race to sign the midfielder.
In other news, Arsenal are still waiting for the decision of Mahrez’ teammate Vardy after the club activated the striker’s £20m release clause a fortnight ago.
