After the Granit Xhaka announcement., it looks as though the club’s officials are all engulfed in the Euro finals but from latest reports making the rounds, Arsenal could finally announce the capture of our second summer signing.
Leicester City have been confirmed to be in the final stages of completing the transfer of Troy Deeney. The Watford striker has been on the EPL champions menu since Arsenal triggered the release clause of Vardy.
The Foxes initially tabled a reported £15 million bid for Deeney which was hurriedly rejected but it seems that both clubs have reached an agreement.
It is reported that a £25 million fee has been agreed and the striker has also agreed personal terms.
The upshot of this report is that Vardy could be set for the move to the Emirates stadium.
The 29-year-old is currently with the 3-Lions squad but his silence has made the rumours take various twists and turns, so much so that we hear he is 80% sure of staying at Leicester today, but he is leaving for Arsenal tomorrow.
