Jermain Defoe returns to his former club Tottenham, but Sunderland will be without new signing Dam N'Doye for this match, as his work permit will not be processed in time.
Manchester City could return David Silva to the starting line-up on Saturday while Crystal Palace striker Connor Wickham could come back in.

Liverpool v Manchester United (2.05pm)
Dejan Lovren and Daniel Sturridge are believed to be the two players nearest to a return from Liverpool's well-documented injury crisis but neither will be fit in time for Sunday's game. Meanwhile Manchester United are expected to be without Bastian Schweinsteiger, who is managing a knee injury.
Stoke City v Arsenal (4.15pm)
Stoke will host the Gunners without Xherdan Shaqiri, while Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has new signing Mohamed Elneny available to him.
