The Red Devils had an offer for the Southampton winger turned down in the summer, and are now set to return in January after he fell out with his Saints manager
Manchester United are set to launch a January bid for Sadio Mane after the Southamptonforward fell out with Saints manager Ronald Koeman, according to newspaper reports.
The versatile attacker was a target for United in the summer as they attempted to strengthen their forward line before acquiring Anthony Martial from Monaco for a fee that could rise to £58 million.
However, they have struggled for goals this season - scoring just 24 in 20 games - and are now set to return to the Saints as they finally attempt to land their man, according to both theDaily Mail and the Daily Mirror.
Mane was lambasted by Koeman after he turned up late to a team meeting and was subsequently left out of the starting XI for the Saints' clash with Norwich, which they lost 1-0.
"I have been let down by some key players," Koeman said after the game. 'My last message to him [Mane] was that he needed to be concentrated and focused. You have a responsibility as a player not just to me as the manager, but your teammates, fans and the technical staff to show respect.
"I am angry about players who are not focused and concentrated and that is even more disappointing than the result today. It is not the first time this has happened."
