Reports have emerged claiming that Alexis Sanchez could be back in action for Arsenal early in the New Year.
The Chilean forward has been sidelined for a month with a hamstring injury but is expected back for the FA Cup clash with Sunderland on January 9.
Ahead of the weekend’s Premier League clash with Newcastle United, Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger: “I think Sanchez is still short (for Newcastle) but he could be back in one week against Sunderland.”
Sanchez has been out since November 29 after scoring nine goals in 20 appearances in all competitions this season prior to the setback.
