Chelsea are considering joining Manchester City and Juventus in the battle to sign Real Madrid midfielder Isco.
The Spain midfielder has struggled to make an impact at the Bernabeu since joining from Malaga for £23m in 2013.
Isco has started just nine matches in La Liga this term and was an unused substitute in their 2-2 draw at Valencia last night.
Real Madrid are unwilling to sell this month, but the 23-year-old is concerned about losing his place in Spain’s squad for Euro 2016.
Chelsea, along with Manchester City, wanted to buy the playmaker back in 2013 and are ready to make another bid for his services, although a summer move is more likely.
Juventus are also keen on Isco as well as Chelsea’s Oscar, who could be sold to raise transfer funds after a poor campaign.
The Blues want to spend big this month, and in the close season, after making their worst-ever start to the Premier League.
They are already in advanced talks with Shakhtar Donestsk over a £30m January deal for attacking midfielder Alex Teixeira.
