Barcelona star Neymar, who came third in the 2015 FIFA Ballon d’Or, has been ordered to appear in court over allegations of fraud.
AFP reports that the Brazil star, both of his parents, Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu, his predecessor Sandro Rosell and two directors from Santos have all been called to give evidence.
Neymar is set to appear in Spain’s national court on February 2.
The various parties have been called to testify regarding the transfer which took Neymar from Santos to Barcelona in 2013 for a disputed transfer fee.
A company called DIS owned a percentage of Neymar’s registration at the time of the transfer and have taken legal action, claiming they did not receive the correct amount when he made his move to Camp Nou.
The transfer was reported to be worth €57 million (£48.6m).
Former president Rosell was forced to resign in January 2014 after a separate legal case was launched by a club member over the actual value of the Neymar transfer.
