The plane - not pictured - crashed into the Mediterranean on May 19 this year
Wreckage of the tragic EgyptAir flight 804 has been spotted by search teams nearly a month after the crash.
A deep ocean search vessel has identified several main locations of the flight 804 wreckage, it has been reported.
The disaster on May 19 this year saw all 66 people on board killed, including 56 passengers, seven crew and three security personel.
Mystery still surrounds what happened to the flight, but the discovery of the wreckage may help investigators determine the cause of the crash.
The plane disappeared from radar en route to Cairo from Paris. No group has claimed an attack.
The vessel, John Lethbridge, has provided the first images of wreckage to investigators. A search team on board the vessel will now draw a map of the wreckage's distribution spots, the search teams said in a statement.
Earlier this month it was reported the doomed plance made three emergency landings in the 24 hours before the tragedy, according to reports.
The plane, an Airbus A320, signalled anomalies between May 18 and May 19 while taking off at airports on three occasions, AirLive reported.
Inspectors are then said to have carried out a technical audit on the plane, each time giving it permission to take off.
However reports of the emergency landings in the lead up to the crash have been denied by Egyptian investigation sources.
Investigators faced a race against time to find out what happened to the aircraft before the plane's black boxes fell silent.
The cockpit voice and data recorders are likely to hold the only definitive evidence of what caused the tragedy.
But the battery-powered boxes only emit 'pings' to help investigators locate them - meaning they are set to fall silent by mid-June.
Before today only scattered debris of the plane had been discovered, including small body tissue, life jackets and personal belongings.
